Obispos de Latinoamérica y el Caribe llamaron a unirse en oración ante la violencia que se vive en el país
El Consejo Episcopal Latinoamericano (CELAM) expresó su solidaridad con el pueblo de Nicaragua y llamó al continente a unirse en oración el próximo domingo 22 de julio “en todas nuestras celebraciones”. Obispos de América Latina y el Caribe, señalaron su “cercanía y solidaridad con el pueblo nicaragüense y con sus pastores profetas de justicia, ante la dramática y dolorosa crisis social y política que allí se vive actualmente”. Recuerda el CELAM a los obispos de Nicaragua a ser la voz de quien no la tiene para hacer valer sus derechos. “Ante esta grave situación, estamos llamados a ser la voz de quien no tiene voz para hacer valer sus derechos, encontrar caminos de diálogo e instaurar la justicia y la paz, ‘para que en Cristo todos tengan vida’, de modo especial quienes se sienten desconsolados por la muerte y la violencia”. “Les alentamos a seguir siendo defensores de los derechos humanos y portadores de esperanza”, señalaron. Nicaragua cumple tres meses entre violentas manifestaciones contra el régimen del presidente Daniel Ortega y que han dejado al menos 350 muertos.
