Las proyecciones apuntan a una precipitación de entre 10 y ocho pulgadas de nieve en las próximas 24 horas

Un nuevo frente frío proveniente del oeste afectará una amplia porción del sur y el este de Estados Unidos, provocando nevadas y se temen provoquen apagones y complique las condiciones en carreteras de varios estados en las próximas 24 horas

El frente ha generado alertas de tormenta invernal desde Texas, las Carolinas, Virginia y la mayor parte del costa norte del pacífico hasta Nueva Jersey y Massachusetts donde la ciudad de Boston recibirá una nueva precipitación y cuenta con temporada de nieve récord.

Las proyecciones apuntan a una precipitación de entre 10 y ocho pulgadas de nieve durante las próximas 24 horas lugares como Lexington Kentucky; entre cinco y ocho en la capital Washington, y entre tres y cinco en Nueva York.

Aunque se anticipa que Boston recibirá entre dos y tres pulgadas de nieve, la precipitación se sumará a la 45.5 pulgadas que cayeron en la ciudad el mes pasado, un nuevo récord en la historia de la ciudad.
