"En los próximos días se llegará al millón de casos confirmados y a los 50,000 muertos", prevé la OMS

GINEBRA, SUIZA. El número de decesos a causa del nuevo coronavirus se ha duplicado en el mundo en una semana, alertó este miércoles la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), que teme una “rápida escalada” de la pandemia.

“El número de muertos se ha duplicado ampliamente en la última semana (...) en los próximos días se llegará al millón de casos confirmados y a los 50,000 muertos”, declaró el director general de la organización, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, en rueda de prensa por internet. NR
