La UEFA se quejó ante la FIFA por un intento de desacreditar a su presidente Michel Platini, quien es el favorito para suceder a Joseph Blatter como dirigente del organismo rector del fútbol mundial.

Medios en lengua alemana recibieron este mes un artículo de estilo similar al de un periódico enviado en forma anónima titulado “Platini: esqueletos en el armario”.

El secretario general de la UEFA, Gianni Infantino, informó que pidió a la FIFA investigar si el documento fue enviado desde su sede.

“Le he escrito a Jerome Valcke (secretario general del organismo) y le pedí que la FIFA lo investigue”, señaló Infantino el domingo.

Infantino dijo que la carta también fue enviada al fiscal de la comisión de ética de la FIFA, Cornel Borbely, y el supervisor de la elección de la FIFA, Domenico Scala.

El artículo sugiere que Platini tiene vínculos con Catar por lo que no debería ser presidente de la FIFA.
